POST-SUMMARY-HERE

Finally Country Music's biggest up and coming star has something new coming out onto the country music scene, and this DJ couldn't be more excited! Carrie Underwood without out a doubt has the selling power to be the best young country music artist in the game.

As the music Scene continues to change, and get younger, Underwood has a chance to solidify the fact that she is the female voice. She has the chance to go from Okalahoma girl, to the internataional voice of a genre.

Will she do it? As a huge Carrie fan, I think that her new album "Play On," which will be released on November 3rd, will be critical to what is next for the Country artist. Most of the music, including the lead single "Play On" are co-writen by Underwood. Originality was something that Underwood lacked in her last album.

And is something that is key in putting her over the top. When I get to hear the album, I'll let you know what I think. Stay Tuned..... I think we might have a deal breaker on the way.

  1. Unknown Said,

This article contains so much false information. Since this is Carrie's third album release and she's been on the scene for almost five years, I wouldn't call her "up and coming". She WON Entertainer of the Year, the highest award given at the Academy of Country Music Awards and beat out Kenny Chesney, who has been winning the award for years. And there was no originality missing from her last album. Carrie co-wrote All American Girl, So Small, Crazy Dreams and Last Name. Three of the four were released as singles (and made it to the top of the charts). And the last paragraph doesn't make any sense at all. I think we might have a deal breaker on the way? Carrie has sold more than ten million albums and has had ten number one singles... you're acting like she's brand new onto the country music scene with no success whatsoever.

    Bridget,

I guess I didn't make it clear that my context was not in today's country artists, but more in the sense of country's all-time female artists.

There is no doubt she is at the top of the game, and yess So Small, Crazy Dreams and Last Name are undoubtedly some of the singles released this decade, but is she in the same class as Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Tammy Wynette and Reba?

    That can still be debated.

    Thanks for your thoughts!

    -Joey D!
